The Correlation between Allergic Diseases and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Background: The prevalence of autoimmune diseases and major chronic allergic such as rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis are increasing in line with the occurrence climate change. Allergy systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) sometimes being linked since both immune involving gene-environment interactions. purpose this research is to investigate correlation between SLE. Method : This case-control study was performed on 39 SLE subjects from Tittari Community non-SLE aged 15-49 years old, September until October 2021. All them were females. independent variable disease dependent Partici­pants' characteristics allergy data collected through answering online Score for Allergic Rhinitis (SFAR) questionnaire, then results processed bivariate multivariate analyses. Results significant but not rhinitis asthma (p=0.018; p=0.352; p=0.151 respectively). analysis revealed that risk 3.17 times higher patients (OR=3.17; 95% CI=1.20-8.39; p=0.018). Furthermore, found had highest (OR= 3.18; CI= 1.07-9.51; p=0.031). Conclusion: Among diseases, be significantly correlated SLE, where raised number increased.
